The proprietor of a private Los Angeles basketball academy has been arrested after several of his players reported secretly being recorded on video in his residential bathroom, authorities announced Tuesday.

Michael Miller was taken into custody Monday following an 11-month investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department Juvenile Division’s Sexually Exploited Child Unit, according to a news release.

Although detectives had been informed that minors may have been involved in the alleged incidents, it was determined during the investigation that “all parties currently involved were adults,” the release said.

Miller, who previously coached basketball at Los Angeles Community College, is the sole owner of the Los Angeles College Preparatory Academy, which he operated out of his home, police said.
